Mike Williamson frustrated with Crystal Palace draw

Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson admits that his side are disappointed to have dropped two points late in the game in their 3-3 draw with Crystal Palace.

Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson has revealed that he was frustrated that his side failed to hold on to beat Crystal Palace in their Premier League clash.

The 30-year-old scored his first goal for the club in the 3-3 draw as he netted in the 89th minute, only to see Palace earn a point in stoppage time thanks to a strike from Wilfried Zaha.

He told the club's official website: "It was obviously great to score but ultimately it was disappointing that it wasn't the winner. When you're 3-2 up with two minutes to go you should see the game out, though, so it feels like two points dropped.

"However, we came from behind twice so showed good character to come back. It was just frustrating that we couldn't hang on."

Newcastle have taken two points from their first three Premier League matches of the season.
