Brighton & Hove Albion defender Dan Burn has reportedly undergone a medical with Newcastle United ahead of his proposed deadline day switch.
The Englishman was said to have been identified as a key target for the Magpies, who have undergone a busy January transfer window following their successful takeover in October.
As recorded by Keith Downie, Burn arrived at the club's training ground earlier today after a reported £13m fee was agreed between the two Premier League clubs on Sunday.
Such an acquisition would be the Magpies' fifth of this winter window, having already brought in left-back Matt Targett on loan from Aston Villa on Deadline Day after the previous signings of Kieran Trippier, Chris Wood and Bruno Guimaraes.
Since arriving from Wigan Athletic in 2018, the 29-year-old has featured 82 times for the Seagulls, including 74 Premier League appearances - 13 of which have come in the 2021-22 campaign.
