Massadio Haidara 'to have medical at Newcastle today'

Nancy defender Massadio Haidara jets in to the North East to undergo a medical ahead of a move to Newcastle United.

Newcastle United are poised to sign Nancy defender Massadio Haidara once he has completed a medical at the club.

The 20-year-old has been expected to join the Premier League outfit after the French club revealed that a transfer had been agreed.

It is believed that the defender has touched down in the North East to complete a medical, according to Sky Sports News.

The Magpies are also close to finalising a move for Bordeaux striker Yoan Gouffran.
