Coventry City have extended the loan of young Newcastle United striker Adam Armstrong until the end of the season.
The 18-year-old is League One's top scorer with 16 goals this term and Coventry have been able to secure his services for the remainder of the campaign, despite calls from some Newcastle supporters to bring him back and help in the Premier League.
"We're delighted to have Adam here until the end of the season as he has had a fantastic impact during his time at the club," Sky Blues boss Tony Mowbray told the club website.
"He is progressing well and we are delighted that Newcastle feel that he is in the best environment for his future development."
Newcastle have also sent Gael Bigirimana back to Coventry for the rest of the season after he impressed in an emergency loan stint earlier this term.
