Prince Ali to stand again for FIFA presidency

Prince Ali announces that he will stand in the new FIFA presidential elections once Sepp Blatter steps down from his post.

Prince Ali has announced that he will stand in the new FIFA presidential elections once Sepp Blatter has resigned.

Blatter confirmed on Tuesday that he would leave his role as FIFA president between December 2015 and March 2016 following the latest corruption allegations involving the organisation.

Ali stood as the sole challenger to the 79-year-old Swiss in last week's election, but he conceded defeat to hand Blatter a fifth successive term.

UEFA president Michel Platini has described Blatter's decision to step down as 'difficult, brave and right'.
