League Two side Barnet are to leave Underhill at the end of the season after 104 years at the ground.

League Two side Barnet will be leaving their home of 104 years at the end of the season.

The Bees have struggled to gain a licence that would allow them to remain at Underhill for another season, a fact that has left chairman Tony Kleanthous unhappy with the council.

"Our intention has always been to stay at Underhill for a few more years but we are now finally focused on our future location rather than having the same old discussions with your council that never lead anywhere," Kleanthous told the club's official website.

"We have spent nearly £2m improving Underhill over the last few years but Barnet Council seem to want us to rip everything up and go back to the cloth cap days of cramming people in and letting them use a wall as a toilet!

"It really is an embarrassing state of affairs and I cannot allow our faithful supporters to endure any more of the humiliating taunts and jokes from our rivals. This blinkered council will never know what they had until they have finally lost it!"

Barnet are currently 19th in the League Two table.
