David Gill will ask not to sit on FIFA's executive committee if Sepp Blatter is re-elected as president, according to reports.
Britain's FIFA vice-president Gill will turn down the opportunity to be the UEFA representative should Blatter win tomorrow's election, which is expected to go ahead.
There was applause as the former Manchester United chief executive announced his decision in a UEFA meeting, reports The AP.
The news comes after seven officials were arrested on Wednesday, while Blatter called an emergency meeting with representatives from each of FIFA's six confederations this morning.
