The Jamaican Football Federation have released a statement announcing that an unnamed player has failed a drugs test after a World Cup qualifying match.
The JFF revealed that they have been notified by FIFA that a member of their squad for their fixture against Honduras failed the post-match test.
A statement on Jamaicafootballfederation.com read: "The JFF has taken this matter very seriously and a thorough investigation has already started by the chairman of the JFF Medical Committee."
The news comes after Jamaican sprinters Asafa Powell and Sherone Simpson tested positive for the banned substance oxilofrine earlier this month.
