Derby captain Robbie Savage has continued his feud with Adel Taarabt with a series of clashes at last night's game with QPR.
During the game, which ended with a goalless draw, Savage marked the 21-year-old Moroccan closely, gaining a booking after 12 minutes for a foul.
"He's a talent, but sometimes when it is not going his way he can have a little strop like he did tonight," Savage, 37, told Sky Sports afterwards. "But he deserves to be the player of the year in our Championship because he has got great skill and great ability and he's very good on his day."
Taarabt was substituted out with 20 minutes to play, throwing a water bottle angrily as he left the pitch. "I wish he would have stayed on because he was not doing anything," joked Savage.
The draw edges QPR to within a whisker of automatic promotion with four games of the season still to play.
