Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill laments his side's 1-1 draw with Luxembourg.

Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill has said that he was disappointed with his side's 1-1 draw with Luxembourg this evening.

Northern Ireland led for much of the match but failed to add to Dean Shiels's solitary goal, having three disallowed. Luxembourg equalised in the 87th minute after a shot by Daniel da Mora deflected off Ryan McGivern and past Roy Carroll.

O'Neill believes that his side had enough chances to win the match, but criticised their second-half performance, and the number of offside decisions given by the officials.

"I am very disappointed. We had enough chances to win," O'Neill told Sky Sports News.

"In the second half we let our standards drop. Our energy levels dropped too.

"The game was disrupted by offside calls. There were too many free kicks and too many disruptions."

The draw gives Northern Ireland their first point of the qualifying campaign having lost 2-0 to Russia on Friday.
