Norwich City striker Gary Hooper has admitted that the whole squad were left "gutted" to concede a late goal as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Rotherham United on Saturday.
Hooper had put the 10 men of the Canaries 1-0 up against Steve Evans's strugglers before Jordan Bowery levelled things up late on for Rotherham.
The Norwich star has said that the late goal might have ended their automatic promotion push.
He told the club's official website: "Everyone is gutted to concede before the end having held off all that time.
"We needed to win, basically. After the game we found out Fulham had won, so we know we could have gone second.
"We'll see what happens on Monday in the Bournemouth game then kick on again Saturday. You never know in football, but if we do end up in the play-offs then we've got to win them and get promoted."
The draw leaves Alex Neil's side fourth in the Championship table, although Watford's promotion has already been confirmed after Saturday's results.
