Paul Lambert refuses to answer questions on his and Grant Holt's futures

Norwich manager Paul Lambert refuses to answer questions regarding both his and striker Grant Holt's futures at Carrow Road.

Norwich City manager Paul Lambert has rebuffed any questions about both his and Grant Holt's futures at the club.

The Glaswegian was speaking after the Canaries beat Scottish champions Celtic 2-0 in a testimonial match for Adam Drury.

Holt started in attack for the Norfolk club this evening despite having had a transfer request rejected on Friday, and Lambert refused to answer questions about the forward's position.

"There is no point asking me. I am telling you I am not answering it. I know what is going on but this is Adam's game," Lambert told reporters.

Lambert himself has been heavily linked with the vacant managerial post at Aston Villa but again would not comment on the speculation.

"It is not about Grant, it is not about me, it is about Adam Drury," he added.

"This isn't the night for those questions. Don't ask me negative things about me or Grant.

"I am delighted I am at Norwich if that is what you are asking. I have never said a word that I want to get away, not a thing, and people jump to conclusions about what I say or don't say."

Rumours linking Lambert with the Villa role are likely to increase after frontrunner for the job Ole Gunnar Solskjaer pulled out of the running this evening.
