Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy reveals that he will return to full training on Thursday after four months out with a thigh injury.

Norwich City goalkeeper John Ruddy has revealed that he will return to full training this week after four months out through injury.

Ruddy has been out since November after tearing the muscle on his thigh bone during a 1-1 draw with Everton at Goodison Park.

After undergoing successful surgery and rehabilitation the England international has insisted that he is itching to return to first-team action.

He told Sky Sports News: "It has gone really well, there have been no problems so far. I start full training on Thursday, which I am very much looking forward to.

"It has been really frustrating for the last four-and-a-half months so it is going to be nice to be out on the fields with the lads again. I am very much looking forward to it and I can't wait to be back in action. I'm back in training on Thursday, I'll play a couple of games for the U21s to make sure I'm match sharp and then it is down to the manager.

"I really want to get back, I have worked very hard. My physio at the club Stuart Wardle, he has been fantastic with me. He has really pushed me to get back as quickly as I have."

Chris Hughton's side are currently 12th in the Premier League, seven points clear of the relegation zone.
