Lee Camp close to Norwich City move

Goalkeeper Lee Camp is preparing to sign a six-month contract with Premier League side Norwich City.

Norwich City have confirmed that goalkeeper Lee Camp is close to joining the club until the end of the season.

Subject to paperwork, the Northern Ireland international will sign a six-month contract at Carrow Road and will provide extra cover for injured number one keeper John Ruddy.

"I'm delighted. It all came around pretty quickly and it turned out to be a pretty straightforward decision in the end. I'm really pleased to be here," he told the club's official website. "It's a six-month deal which I think suits both parties pretty well. I think it would add a little bit of competition and hopefully I can add to the experience and competition already here.

"Any player wants to be in the Premier League and I'm very fortunate to be given this opportunity to play at a Premier League club and challenge for a place in the team."

Camp had been available for a short period of time following his release from Nottingham Forest.
