Dougie Freedman wants to bring committed players to Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman says that he is looking to bring players in who have a desire to make the club a success again.

Dougie Freedman has stated that Nottingham Forest must target players who have a fierce hunger to make the club a success again.

The Championship outfit will be unable to pay transfer fees or wages above £10k a week because of their Financial Fair Play transfer embargo, which could hinder the quality of player that can be brought to the City Ground.

However, Forest boss Freedman believes that the transfer restrictions could help the club to attract the right kind of characters.

"I do not want a player coming in just for the money. Nottingham is a fantastic city, we play in a fantastic stadium and we did pay wonderful wages," Freedman told the Nottingham Post.

"I want a player to come here with a hunger and desire to be successful, not for financial reward. That is what we are looking for and we are working smartly in an effort to make that happen."

Forest bring their season to an end with a home match against Cardiff City on Saturday.
