Nottingham Forest manager Sean O'Driscoll has confirmed that the club are interested in signing West Bromwich Albion striker Simon Cox.
Reports have claimed that the Championship club were preparing a move for the 25-year-old.
"He is somebody that we have asked about," O'Driscoll told the Nottingham Evening Post. "We are waiting for answers on one or two things.
"It is just talks at the minute. That is going off with one or two players. You make contact with their clubs, you make contact with their agents.
"Then you wait for developments, to see what happens. We are waiting see what happens with him."
Cox has netted just one goal in the Premier League in the past two campaigns.
