Notts County chief executive Jim Rodwell hints that Chris Kiwomya will be handed the managerial role on a long-term basis.

Notts County chief executive Jim Rodwell has admitted that Chris Kiwomya is in "pole position" to be named long-term manager of the club.

The 43-year-old took charge of County in February, replacing Keith Curle until the end of the season. However, Rodwell has hinted at a long-term position for Kiwomya.

Rodwell told BBC Sport: "I'd certainly say he's in pole position. I don't think he can be faulted since he got the job.

"I don't think Chris could have done a lot more. He has gone about his business properly, and has been diligent. We need to sit down with Chris and iron a few things out I think."

Notts County currently sit 11th in the League One table.
