Notts County chief executive Jim Rodwell has revealed that the club will look to add to their squad when the loan window opens on Tuesday.
Rodwell, who was speaking at a live Q & A session on the club's official website, has claimed that a striker is high on the agenda.
"We will be looking, yes. I've been speaking to a club about a centre forward on loan, so hopefully we can get that tied up in the next day or so," said Rodwell.
"But we're always looking to loan players in or out to make us more competitive and give us better balance.
"That's one of the reasons why I believe that the transfer window for Football League clubs is a bit of a non-event."
County currently sit bottom of League One.
