Osasuna have recorded only their third La Liga win of the season in the form of a 1-0 victory at home to Rayo Vallecano.

The triumph has seen Jose Luis Mendilibar's side move out of the relegation zone and up to 16th place in the table.

The only goal of the game after five minutes as Enrique Sola's dynamic run ended with a confident finish past the onrushing David Cobeno.

An eighth defeat of the campaign for Vallecano has seen them stay in eighth place in the standings.
