Half-Time Report: Partick Thistle pegged back by Kenny McLean penalty

Kenny McLean strokes home a 45th-minute penalty as St Mirren hold Partick Thistle to a 1-1 half-time draw at Firhill Park.

Kenny McLean stroked home a 45th-minute penalty as St Mirren held Partick Thistle to a 1-1 half-time draw at Firhill Park tonight.

Kris Doolan headed the hosts into a 1-0 lead on 25 minutes by leaping highest to nod a Kallum Higginbotham cross past goalkeeper Christopher Dilo.

The 27-year-old came within inches of doubling the advantage five minutes later but failed to guide an Aaron Taylor-Sinclair ball the right side of the post.

The Scot's header looked to have done enough to earn a slender lead for Thistle, only for McLean to dispatch a penalty in the dying stages of the half to restore parity.
