Tommy Wright hails "dream" player David Wotherspoon

Tommy Wright praises the performance of David Wotherspoon following the narrow win against Partick Thistle.

St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright has labelled David Wotherspoon a "dream" player following the 1-0 win against Partick Thistle on Tuesday.

Wotherspoon was the architect for the goal, finding Stevie May in the box.

"David Wotherspoon has been a dream for us this season as he can play in so many positions - either on the right, in off the left or behind the striker," Wright told Sky Sports News.

"He had a shot by drifting off the left just before he created our goal that was close. I'm really pleased with him and it was a great assist for Stevie, who tucked it away nicely.

"I'm pleased with our night's work. The players showed great character."

St Johnstone are sixth in the league with 29 points.
