Darren Ferguson is refusing to consider quitting Peterborough despite their awful start to the season.

Peterborough United manager Darren Ferguson has refused to walk away from the club despite the disastrous start of seven straight defeats.

Ferguson, whose side lost 2-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers today, admitted that he was "embarrassed" by what he saw but says that he does not have it in him to quit.

"This was another poor, poor performance, particularly in the first half," Sky Sports News quotes Ferguson as saying. "I thought we would have a lot more energy and tempo to our play then we did.

"I was embarrassed by what I saw. I've had enough time to look at things and now need to make some big decisions. I know what I need to do in the next week to try and turn things around.

"The easiest thing for me would be to walk away, but I've never walked away from anything. I've not got that in me."

Peterborough are bottom of the Championship with no points from a possible 21.
