Report: Gianelli Imbula not interested in Stoke City move

A report claims that Porto midfielder Gianelli Imbula has rejected the chance to join Premier League side Stoke City.

Porto midfielder Gianelli Imbula has reportedly turned down the chance to move to Premier League side Stoke City.

The 23-year-old joined Porto from Marseille in the summer, signing a five-year contract with the Portuguese outfit.

The French Under-21 international has struggled to make his mark for his new side, however, and a number of clubs have been linked with a move.

According to L'Equipe, Stoke submitted an offer for the Belgian-born midfielder, but Imbula was not keen on a move away this month.

Imbula has failed to score in 19 appearances for Porto this season.
