Brian Laws has admitted that he is interested in taking up the managerial vacancy at Portsmouth.
The Championship side is in need of a new coach after former boss Steve Cotterill took over at Nottingham Forest.
Fifty managers have reportedly applied for the position, but Laws is remaining coy on the subject.
"I have shown interest in the Portsmouth the job," Laws told The News. "But that is as much as I will say at the moment."
Former Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll is believed to be the favourite to succeed Cotterill.
