Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been left out of the Portugal squad for the upcoming fixtures with Poland and Scotland.
The 33-year-old had been rested for his nation's fixtures in September, but the striker had been in contention to return to the international fold later this month after starting to hit form in Italy.
Ronaldo endured a slow start to the season, but three goals and four assists have now been registered in seven outings for the Serie A champions.
However, manager Fernando Santos has made the decision to leave Portugal's record goalscorer out of the squad at a time when the former Manchester United and Real Madrid man is facing allegations of rape.
Ronaldo has been accused by Kathryn Mayorga - who he is said to have met in Las Vegas in 2009 - and Ronaldo has vehemently denied the claims which first emerged late last month.
