Carlo Ancelotti believes that Paris Saint-Germain's 2-0 win against Toulouse has prepared them for their Champions League campaign that starts next week.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with his side's 2-0 victory over Toulouse at home on Friday.

Goals from Javier Pastore and Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Parc des Princes saw the Parisian giants register their second successive Ligue 1 victory.

"The first victory here at Parc des Princes is important," Ancelotti told PSG's official website. "We had a good match.

"It wasn't easy because Toulouse play attacking football and are well organised. Defensively, we played well and we didn't concede any goals.

"Going forward we linked up well to score. It's a great victory and a good performance which allows us to follow up our win against Lille."

Ancelotti added that PSG are now ready for their Champions League campaign.

"We will improve and I think that we're ready for the Champions League," said the Italian. "These two victories are good for the group."

PSG are at home to Dynamo Kiev in their opening Group A game on Tuesday.
