How Paris Saint-Germain could line up against Borussia Dortmund

Sports Mole looks at how Paris Saint-Germain could line up for their Champions League last-16 second leg against Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday.

Paris Saint-Germain welcome Borussia Dortmund to the Parc des Princes on Wednesday evening for the second leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.

The Ligue 1 champions have been in good form domestically, but they trail Dortmund 2-1 from last month's reverse fixture at the Westfalenstadion.

Neymar's away goal, sandwiched between strikes from in-form striker Erling Braut Haaland, could yet prove decisive when the sides reconvene in the French capital.

However, it was announced on Monday that the match will be played behind closed doors due to fears over the coronavirus spreading.

Ahead of the finely-poised tie, Sports Mole looks at how Thomas Tuchel may set out his side.

Doubtful: Thiago Silva (hamstring), Colin Dagba (knee)

Tuchel was criticised for his decision to use a three-man defence in the reverse fixture, so he is likely to revert to a back four on Wednesday.

Influential captain Thiago Silva is struggling with a hamstring injury, but he will be given every chance of starting the match.

Should he fail to recover in time, Marquinhos - now a holding midfielder by trade - may have to drop into central defence, with Ander Herrera coming into midfield.

Marco Verratti and Thomas Meunier were both cautioned in the first leg and are now serving a suspension in what is a huge double blow for the hosts.

Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria seem certain to start up top, with Mauro Icardi and Edinson Cavani providing attacking support from the bench.
