Preview: Paris Saint-Germain vs. APOEL

Sports Mole looks ahead to Wednesday's clash between Paris Saint-Germain and APOEL in Group F of the Champions League.

Paris Saint-Germain can book their place in the last 16 of the Champions League on Wednesday with a victory at home to APOEL.

The French champions, who sit at the top of Group F with seven points, will go through if they win and second-placed Barcelona avoid defeat away to Ajax.

However, history suggests that PSG will not have it all their own way against the Cypriots after they scraped a 1-0 triumph in the reverse fixture two weeks ago.

APOEL come into the match with just one point from a possible nine, though they still have an outside chance of making it through to the next round of the competition.

The visitors, who reached the round of 16 two years ago, currently occupy top spot in their domestic table thanks to an unbeaten start to the new season.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Luiz remain injured for PSG, while John Arne Riise, Constantinos Charalambidis and Kaka are among the key absentees for the away side.
