Laurent Blanc: 'Chelsea tie distracted players'

Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc admits that the media focus on the upcoming Champions League tie against Chelsea distracted his side.

Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc has revealed that the media focus on his side's upcoming Champions League clash with Chelsea affected his players' concentration in the Ligue 1 match against Lorient on Friday.

PSG were drawn against Jose Mourinho's side just hours before kickoff, although, despite the unconvincing display, Blanc's side ran out 1-0 winners.

"I would say the players weren't thinking about Chelsea but all the journalists we came across talked only about that and it made it difficult to think about Lorient," Blanc told reporters.

"We've done really good things since the start of the season but we've won nothing yet."

PSG sit 11 points clear of second-placed Monaco in the Ligue 1 table.
