Agent Kia Joorabchian has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain centre-back Marquinhos is already among "the top five defenders in the world", despite only being 22 years of age.
Marquinhos has impressed at the heart of the PSG backline this season, with the Brazilian appearing on nine occasions in Ligue 1 and four times in the Champions League thus far.
Joorabchian has said that Marquinhos is 'already at the same level' as Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, who is eight years older than the Brazil international.
"I would say he has to be in the top five defenders in the world, I would think everyone would say that," Joorabchian told Goal.com. "I am not sure who is convincingly better than him in defence at the moment. He is already at Sergio Ramos's level, for sure, and I think he could be the best in the world. He is still only 22-years-old, also."
Marquinhos joined PSG from Roma in the summer of 2013.
