Thiago Silva hails fellow Paris Saint-Germain centre-backs

Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva believes that his side have "the greatest centre-backs in the world".

Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva believes that his side have the best collection of centre-backs in world football.

Silva is widely regarded as one of the outstanding defenders in the game, but the Brazilian has also lavished praise on teammates David Luiz and Marquinhos.

"We needed to buy a quality defender like David Luiz but I do not forget the performances of Marquinhos. He represents the future of the club. He is young, already plays very well and has a strong personality," Silva told Le Parisien.

"With David Luiz and Marquinhos here, we have the greatest centre-backs in the world."

Silva is in the latter stages of his recovery from a thigh problem which has sidelined him since August.
