Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Marco Verratti has admitted that coach Carlo Ancelotti was right in asking him to modify his playing style.
The Italian tactician recently claimed that the 19-year-old dribbles too much when he can play a pass instead.
"When I look back at my games, I do realise that I take risks," Verratti told L'Equipe. "However, on the pitch, the first thing I think about is not losing the ball and finding the right pass.
"Ancelotti has told me on numerous occasions that I shouldn't keep the ball for too long in certain zones. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva also advise me to play the simple pass.
"I need to take in what these champions are telling me. However, I am getting better even if it is obvious that I need to grow in terms of experience."
Verratti joined PSG from Italian club Pescara in the summer.
