Queens Park Rangers midfielder Alejandro Faurlin has returned to the pitch for the first time in eight months by playing in an Under-21 match against Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old suffered cruciate knee ligament damage for the third time in as many years last August, but appears to be edging closer to fitness.
According to West London Sport, Faurlin came on as a substitute at the club's Harlington training ground, replacing Adel Taarabt for the second half.
The R's eventually lost the match 3-0.
