Robert Green: 'Queens Park Rangers must improve away form'

QPR goalkeeper Robert Green warns his teammates to prepare for a return to the Championship unless their away form picks up.

Robert Green has warned his Queens Park Rangers teammates that relegation is on the horizon unless they improve their dismal away form.

Harry Redknapp's side, who sit 18th in the Premier League table, have lost all six of their games away from Loftus Road this season.

Consequently, Green, who knows full well how important away victories can be after being relegated with Norwich City 10 years ago, says that more success on the road is a must.

"I got relegated with Norwich in 2004-05 and we didn't win an away game and that cost us," the goalkeeper is quoted as saying by The Mirror.

"You look at the teams down the bottom and all of them have struggled for points away from home.

"The Premier League, wherever you play, when you are playing at home people will come to your ground, unless they are one of the so called bigger teams, and [be happy to] take a point. That's something maybe we've got to learn from."

Rangers will look to get off the mark at the seventh attempt with a visit to Swansea City on Tuesday night.
