Nigel Pearson frustrated with Queens Park Rangers defeat

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson admits that he is disappointed that his side took nothing from their Premier League clash with Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has admitted that he was frustrated to leave Loftus Road with nothing as his side fell to a 3-2 defeat to Queens Park Rangers.

The Foxes extended their winless run in the Premier League to eight matches as Charlie Austin netted a 73rd-minute winner for Harry Redknapp's men in a game full of chances for both teams.

Pearson believes that his side can take positives from the match as they scored for the first time in 500 minutes, through firstly Esteban Cambiasso and then Jeffrey Schlupp, but Leicester dropped to the bottom of the table with the loss.

He told the club's official website: "It's a game we should have won if you want to look at chances created. The goals that we conceded make it very disappointing. The third one was a scramble and I could pick a few bones out of that if I wanted to.

"It is frustrating for everybody I'm sure, but I feel for the players today, because they've actually worked pretty well. We've had criticism about not creating chances in the past.

"We could have won two or three games today with the chances we created, so that remains a difficult one and something that we will have to keep working on. I'll remind the players about the positives today. At the moment it's not happening for us, but I saw some good things today."

Leicester face Liverpool on Tuesday at the King Power Stadium in their next top-flight outing.
