Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes has issued a public plea to keep his job.

The Hoops, who suffered a 3-1 home defeat to fellow strugglers Southampton on Saturday, currently sit bottom of the Premier League table without a single top-flight victory all season.

Despite his side's woeful start to the season, Hughes remains desperate to continue working at Loftus Road.

"Stability is absolutely what this club needs in the long term," said the Welshman. "Until you get to that point where you can establish yourself in the Premier League, then you have to go through periods where there is doubt or apprehension about what the future holds.

"We are at that point in time now, but I think wholesale changes once again for this club would be the wrong decision in my view. You would expect me to say that but I honestly believe it."

Hughes took charge of QPR in January and has since overseen just eight wins in 34 games.
