Michael Petrasso relishing "chance to impress" at Queens Park Rangers

Queen Park Rangers midfielder Michael Petrasso hopes that he will get a "chance to impress" during the club's pre-season tour.

Michael Petrasso has said that he is hoping to "impress" at Queens Park Rangers during their pre-season fixtures.

The midfielder, who has a spell on loan with Notts County last season, fractured his ankle in February, around the same time first-team coach Chris Ramsey and director of football Les Ferdinand were appointed.

The 20-year-old told talkSPORT: "They'll be at the games, too, I'm sure. No doubt they'll be looking at me and the rest of the boys. It's our chance to impress.

"I'm looking forward to getting some game time, it'll be my first game in a while. It'll be nice to get back into games and playing against different opponents, having that intensity where you want to win. Hopefully I'll get some minutes while I'm here.

"I fractured my ankle around the end of February, and I was out for the rest of the season. I've just come back for the last two weeks, having been out for three months. That was very disappointing. Now that I'm back fit, I just want to stay healthy and get back playing."

Petrasso is part of QPR's squad for their pre-season tour of Italy.
