Harry Redknapp praises Queens Park Rangers performance despite defeat

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp says that his side "dominated" their 2-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp believes that his players did everything but score in their 2-0 defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Goals from Leonardo Ulloa and Stephen Ward condemned QPR to their fourth defeat in six matches, but Redknapp says that their performance was one of the best he has seen.

"Tonight for 80 minutes we were as good as I've seen us play. You saw all the good play, the build-up and making chances – we just couldn't get on the end of it and score," Redknapp is quoted as saying by West London Sport.

"We dominated the game, we just couldn't get the break. If could have got our noses in front there wouldn't have been a problem."

The R's are nine points behind second-placed Burnley, and Redknapp says that his side might have to settle for the playoffs.

"It's going to be tough now to make the top two, but we've got to keep going," he added.

QPR play Yeovil Town at home on Saturday.
