Tim Sherwood's Queens Park Rangers appointment in doubt over personal terms?

Tim Sherwood's reported appointment as the new Queens Park Rangers boss is thrown into doubt, after differences in talks over personal terms.

Tim Sherwood's reported appointment as the new Queens Park Rangers manager has allegedly hit a snag over a failure to agree personal terms with the club's owner Tony Fernandes.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss reportedly wants £6m in a three-year deal to become the new manager, but Fernandes is only offering £1m a year plus bonuses.

The 45-year-old is also rumoured to be concerned about the transfer budget given to him in the summer, depending on their Premier League status, according to the Daily Star.

Les Ferdinand, Rangers' newly appointed director of football, is believed to have backed Sherwood's appointment, having previously worked with him at Spurs.

Derby manager Steve McClaren and Real Madrid's assistant coach Paul Clement have also been linked with the job.
