Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes insists that he and Harry Redknapp can fix problems at the club.

Queens Park Rangers chairman Tony Fernandes is adamant that he and boss Harry Redknapp can fix his side's woes and help them retain their Premier League status.

Following their 2-0 defeat to Manchester United, QPR are now seven points adrift at the bottom of the table with just 11 games left this season.

Fernandes said on Twitter: "I am optimistic as ever. I'm still smiling. It's the next 8 games. Lots of good things. Good chat with Harry on the future come what may. We know what we have to do. Many points to play for.

"I'm responsible for this mess ultimately. I have heard the fans and I will stay and fix it. I really love QPR. We can sort this out."

QPR have won just twice since the arrival of Redknapp in November.
