Yossi Benayoun leaves Queens Park Rangers for Maccabi Haifa

Midfielder Yossi Benayoun leaves Queens Park Rangers to sign a two-year deal with Maccabi Haifa.

Maccabi Haifa have completed the signing of Queens Park Rangers midfielder Yossi Benayoun.

Benayoun made 16 appearances during the second half of the campaign at Loftus Road as QPR won promotion to the Premier League with victory over Derby County in the Championship playoff final.

However, after being given the opportunity to return to Israel, the national team skipper has opted to sign a two-year deal with Haifa, who finished fifth domestically last season.

The 34-year-old has also spent time at West Ham United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal during his nine years in England.
