Steve Clarke suggests that West Bromwich Albion will consider a third bid from Queens Park Rangers for Peter Odemwingie.

West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke has left the door open for Queens Park Rangers to submit a third offer for Peter Odemwingie.

The Baggies have rejected QPR's previous two bids for the Nigerian striker, who in turn reacted angrily to his club's decision on the social networking site Twitter.

However, despite the club having turned down a couple of bids, Clarke hinted that an improved third fee from the R's would be considered by telling the Express & Star: "The ball's in QPR's court."

Odemwingie, 31, has been left out of the squad that will face Everton tomorrow evening.

However, Clarke went on to insist that he has been omitted in order to look after his wife and newborn baby.

"We're entitled to ask for an acceptable price. Peter's head has been turned by some agents but if he's still with us on Friday, then different bridges have to be mended," he added.

"Odemwingie is not in the squad for tomorrow night's game at Everton. He hasn't trained for several days, as he looks after his wife and newborn baby."

Odemwingie joined West Brom in 2010 from Lokomotiv Moscow.
