Queens Park Rangers are understood to have agreed a £5m fee with Ajax to sign striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson.
The two clubs have recently been in discussions over a move for the Icelandic international.
Newly-promoted QPR are now thought to have edged closer to securing the 24-year-old's services for next season, according to Sky Sports News.
Sigthorsson, who joined Ajax from AZ Alkmaar in 2011, scored 10 goals in all competitions last term.
QPR get their Premier League campaign underway at home to Hull City on August 16.
