Rangers manager Ally McCoist dismisses claims that he could leave Ibrox after the departure of Nikica Jelavic.

Ally McCoist has dismissed rumours that he may quit as manager of Rangers after the departure of Nikica Jelavic.

Jelavic signed for Everton on Monday and bookmakers Paddy Power suspended betting on McCoist departing as manager at Ibrox.

However, McCoist has claimed that he is not leaving the club despite their current situation.

The former Scotland striker told the Telegraph: "You know me and you know that I'm no quitter. Certainly, it's not a bed of roses right now but I never thought it would be and I'm going nowhere.

"I didn't know they had suspended betting on my job because I didn't know anybody was betting on it - but I bet there's a bookmaker smiling tonight."

McCoist has been manager of Rangers since June 2011.
