Dorin Goian has revealed that he will leave Rangers following the news that the club will begin next season in the Scottish Third Division.
The Romanian has refused to play in the country's fourth tier just 24 hours after pledging his future to the fallen Glasgow giants.
"I am not playing in the fourth division of Scottish football - there's no question of that," the Daily Mail quotes the defender as saying.
"I have just heard about the relegation and I am soon on my way back to Scotland. I have a meeting with the president of the club and I will know more then.
"My agent has already spoken to other teams, but nothing has been agreed yet. I'd have stayed if it was the Second Division - but not this."
Norwegian twins Tom and Kim Skogsrud have also announced that they will leave Rangers following the SFA's ruling.
