Rangers manager Mark Warburton has confirmed that he has spoken to John Eustace regarding a move to Ibrox.
The 35-year-old midfielder, who is a free agent after being released by Derby County, will reportedly be installed as captain should he agree a move to the Scottish Championship side.
Warburton says that Eustace would have plenty to offer his side.
"[John] is an outstanding professional, a credit to himself," the Gers boss told Sky Sports News.
"You look at his record, where he's played at and the win ratio when John's playing is really important. He's had a big role to play at Derby over the last few years.
"He's someone I know very well, someone I've always been impressed with and someone who we're just chatting to, and see what can be done."
Eustace has also played for Coventry City, Stoke City and Watford during his 17-year career.
