Reading duo Garath McCleary, Shaun Cummings make long-awaited comebacks

Garath McCleary and Shaun Cummings return to action for Reading in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

Reading's Garath McCleary and Shaun Cummings made their long-awaited returns from injury in a friendly yesterday.

The duo played the first half of a behind-closed-doors fixture against Oxford United on Tuesday.

McCleary is yet to feature for the Royals this season because of a back operation, while Cummings has been out of action since August with a knee problem.

The pair could feature again for the Royals in a friendly over the weekend before the Royals' next Championship game against Cardiff City a week on Saturday.
