Reading yet to receive "proposal" from any prospective owners

Reading chairman Sir John Madejski says that the club are yet to receive any firm bids from prospective new owners.

Reading chairman Sir John Madejski has revealed that the club are yet to receive a firm "proposal" from any prospective new owner.

The Championship outfit are said to be looking for new investment after owner Anton Zingarevich decided to sell his 51% share in the club.

"There is no proposal on the table we are considering, but we are looking all the time," BBC Sport quotes Madejski as saying. "It's an open secret we have had a lot of suitors and hopefully we will have a lot more but it's important we get it right."

Reports have claimed that the Royals have spoken to a US consortium as well as a group from Oman.
