Former Arsenal goalkeeper Stuart Taylor has signed a one-year contract with Reading.
The 31-year-old had been a free agent for a short space of time following his release from Manchester City earlier this summer.
"I'm delighted to have signed Stuart, he is a very experienced goalkeeper at the top level," director of football Nick Hammond told the club's official website.
Hammond also confirmed that Taylor will wear the number 41 shirt during his stint with the Royals.
The arrival of Taylor has seen fellow keeper Mikkel Andersen join Portsmouth on a one-month loan deal.
