Alvaro Medran strike secures Real Madrid Castilla win

Real Madrid Castilla beat Huesca 1-0 in their Segunda Division clash at Alfredo Di Stefano Stadium as Alvaro Medran scores the only goal of the game in the 65th minute.

Alvaro Medran scored the only goal of the game to fire Real Madrid Castilla to a 1-0 victory over Huesca in their Segunda Division clash.

The home side came close to taking the lead when Raul de Tomas latched on to a corner and headed at goal from close range, but Dani Jimenez made a good save to turn the ball over the bar.

Huesca threatened when Guillem Marti stole the ball in midfield and drove into the box, but he saw his effort well saved by Ruben Yanez.

In the second half, De Tomas had another chance to get on the scoresheet when he was allowed space and time to shoot outside the box, but he sent his strike just over the bar.

Madrid took the lead when Javi Noblejas raided down the left and powered a cross into the box, Medran showing good instincts to move to the near post and fire an effort past Jimenez.

Javi Munoz could have doubled his side's lead late in the game, but he was thwarted by Jimenez, although Castilla still claimed the three points with ease.
